Skydiving for your 87th birthday
A tandem skydive with 1300SKYDIVE Sydney, Sydney Skydivers was as a centrepiece to John’s 87 birthday.
John was an ex British Army parachutist who said he have given it a few moments thought to a solo skydive after discussing with his wife decided a Tandem skydive was the way to go.
Prior to jumping from 14,000ft John chats to his Tandem instructor watching a solo student exit in front of him for some inspiration.

We are always inspired by young and old. When we see an 87 year old being active and jumping out of a plane from 14,000ft we cant help but be inspired.
Once the freefall is complete John’s instructor gives him a few tips on how to fly and control the parachute, a bit of a luxury upgrade from John’s military days.
Its great to see the older generation inspiring the younger generation.
John says he now wants to try indoor skydiving. Indoor skydiving is something both John and the grandkids can both enjoy together. The minimum age for outdoor skydiving and a Tandem skydive is 16 years old, Indoor skydiving is open to ages 5 and up.
