Nitro Circus Live are in Australia on tour with their latest show opening to packed crowds of 15,000 here in Sydney at Acer Arena. When Travis Pastrana and the boys arrived in Sydney they were looking for something to liven up their days off.

So what would Travis Pastrana organise for a bunch of his boys from Nitro Circus do on their days off ? Go Sydiving with Sydney Skydivers of course.

Being experts at what they do Travis Pastrana and Nitro Circus also looks for experts in their field to look after his crew so Sydney Skydivers were their only choice and they waited until the arrived in Sydney before they went skydiving.

Monday morning opened to a bus load of Nitro boys, including special greg, driving into Sydney Skydivers. The boys had one question on arrival , was that a Camel we just saw by the front gate ? Yes , thats Jessica, our resident Camel who has been greeting visitors to Sydney Skydivers for the past 20 years.

There were three groups of jumpers:

  • Those doing a Tandem Skydive
  • Those of the Nitro Circus who were licenced skydivers
  • Wheels

The exprienced skydivers amongst Nitro Circus which includes Special Greg, were geeing up the others who were jumping for the first time and that included "Wheels" , an extreme athlete in a wheel chair who goes by the name "Wheels"

Wheels from Nitro Circus Live

Wheels from Nitro Circus Live with his Tandem Instructor Phil Onis. Phil is the single most experenced skydiver in Australia with over 27,000 personal skydives. We asked Wheels to go easy on Phil.

For the safety of all concerned, it is not our normal policy to take wheelchair bound people skydiving, due to several factors that dramaticly increase the risk both for the passenger and for the instructor, we though Wheels needed an assesment to determine if he was a suitable candiate to go for a Tandem Skydive.

This is Wheels doing his normal thing so we figured he would be up to a Skydive.

To the right , 3 of the Nitro Circus boys including special Greg get ready to go skydiving with one of Sydney Skydivers instructors, Steve Cowan. Steve organised a few fun jumps and for those familiar with skydiving lingo we heard stuff like lets do a wagon wheel and then a horny gorilla, were sure the boys had fun !

As much as Skydiving is a fast action sport it still invloves it's share of waiting. Special Greg ponders what the group will be doing on their Skydive in Sydney Australia at Sydney Skydivers.

Now we are talking , the group get ready to board the aircraft. This is an XL and holds up to 16 skydivers up to a normal jump height of 14,000ft allowing for up to 70 seconds freefall for an experianced skydiver.
